Resourcefulness And Patience As The Main Factor To Make Your Child Like Eating Vegetables
Most kids hate vegetables, and that’s a fact. You can tell them until you are blue in the face that they are good for them but it will make no difference.
When you have a screaming kid who refuses to open his mouth, it may seem impossible. Trust me, it’s not. I have a few ideas here that you can use to try and get your child to eat vegetables.
One of the first steps is to get them eating them as early as possible. When your baby is about 12 months old, they will basically eat anything, unless they are ridiculously picky. Their taste buds will soon adapt to the flavor of the vegetable that you have given them.
You have basically educated their taste buds to accept these flavors and when they grow older, they will continue to eat these foods as their taste buds are already used to them.
Never ever sit your child down to vegetables and demand that they eat them. They need to be friends with vegetables, not enemies.
Vegetables need to their friends, and a mistake a lot of parents make is sit their kids in front of a pile of vegetables when they have something that looks a lot more appealing. Eating the same as them can go along way.
If the food looks appealing to kids you are halfway there. By getting a plate and using lots of different veggies so that is looks like a favorite from a TV show will make them look upon eating vegetables as fun .Join in with them and have a bite of their hair or ear.
This will introduce them to lots of different vegetables and make them fun. If they only have a few bites then say they don’t want any more; don’t try and force them. Tell them how clever they are for eating that much and whose face they want on the plate tomorrow.
