Convenience Of Induction Hobs
Induction Hobs are convenient to use because the are easy to clean, heats oil in seconds, boil water in a minute or so, are ideal for kitchens, barbeque’s, camping and to quickly boil an egg for breakfast
Induction Hobs saves electricity because they are energy efficient
Within a few seconds start to fry your food
They are small, light, cool, durable and easy to use and transport
Because Induction Hobs are more energy efficient than other electrical hobs, they heat cookware faster. The heat is generated in the cookware directly and not transfered from the hob’s surface to the cookware’s surface and therefore the saving in electricity. In addition, the cook-top’s surface stays cool and only warms where it is in contact with the surface of the cookware. No heat is wasted or transfered from the induction hob to the air around the cookware.
With a 1.8 KW induction cooker, it takes about three minutes to boil a litre of water, compared to a gas stove which takes about seven minutes to complete the same duty. Frying with little oil in a pan can commence within seconds due to the rapid heating after turning on the cooktop. Generally, Induction cooktops are 25% – 50% faster and distribute heat more evenly than radiant stove tops and they offer quick, fine temperature adjustment.
Portable Induction cooktops are ideal for use in smaller apartments, student rooms or maid quarters. They are also ideal for camping where electricity is available. The main advantages are that they are small, light, cool, durable and easy to use and transport. In a normal home the portable unit can be used on the counter-top in the kitchen or at the barbeque. The time-setting facility on the cooktop allows for no care cooking of a stew or porridge for example.
Other electrical hobs first have to warm the hob’s surface, then transfer this heat from the surface to the cookware. In contrast the Induction Hob generates the heat directly in the cookware itself by using induction technology. This is very efficient since no energy is lost by transferring heat from the hob’s surface to the cookware surface or to air around the cookware. Induction hobs therefore heats faster and are more energy efficient. Another benefit is that the hob’s surface remain cool, it is only the area beneath the cookware that attracts heat.
